From Ziplining and Rappelling to our Indoor Climbing Wall, there’s no shortage of exciting options. One of our favorite activity combinations is pairing our Elevated Obstacle Course with the Flying V Zipline. This pairing offers a well-rounded experience that combines the challenge of high ropes with the thrill of ziplining from platform to platform.
If you’re looking to give your group a variety of activities they can access throughout the day, the Ascent and Basecamp Packages are a great choice. These packages give you unlimited access to the Elevated Obstacle Course, Flying V Zipline, Wildlife Center, Outdoor Rock Climbing Wall, Sling Shots, and Pedal Carts, making them perfect for a fun-filled, adventure-packed day.

Our Wildlife experts love sharing their knowledge about Pennsylvania’s wildlife, and our nature programs are a great way for groups to explore and learn more about the natural world around us. These programs are especially popular with younger groups and provide an interactive way to get hands-on with nature. A couple of our most popular wildlife programs include Reptiles and Amphibians of the World, where your group can learn about and interact with snakes, lizards, turtles, and more, and our Birds of Prey experience, which offers a fascinating look at these incredible birds.
Custom Packages Tailored to Your Group
Refreshing Mountain offers custom packages designed to suit different group sizes and needs. When you book a custom package, our Day Event Coordinator (Hi, Taylor!) will walk you through the process and help you find the best options for your group. Our Ascent Package is often the most popular, as it provides the best value, offering multiple activities for a fun-filled experience.
For those looking for more adventurous experiences, groups often book our Challenge Adventure Run, which includes the top level of our High Ropes Course and five ziplines, or the Giant Swing for a thrilling experience. Many groups also add in a teambuilding activity or enjoy archery (hello, Robin Hood!).
Before booking, we ask that you provide the exact number of people in your group. This helps us ensure the best experience, as some activities have specific group size limits. Additionally, we recommend booking your event 6-8 weeks in advance, as our activities schedule can fill up quickly.
Once you’re ready to get started, you can contact our office with your event details—such as your group size, preferred date, and goals—and we’ll connect you with our Day Event Coordinator to finalize the perfect schedule. We also offer a variety of add-ons, including meeting room rentals, buffet meals, and campfires to make your event even more memorable.

A question we’re often asked is whether certain groups or age groups tend to prefer specific activities. The answer is yes! We’ve compiled data from past events to help guide you in selecting the best activities for your group. We know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, which is why we created the Ascent Package to give you plenty of options that will appeal to everyone in your group.
For elementary and middle school groups, popular choices include wildlife and nature programs, the Team Scavenger Hunt, field games, the Giant Swing, and the Flying V Zipline (when booked with the Elevated Obstacle Course). High school groups, on the other hand, tend to prefer bigger ziplining adventures like the Challenge Adventure Run and activities like the Team Puzzlehunt, outdoor teambuilding exercises, and wildlife programs.
If you’re organizing an event for a sports team, our Sports Teambuilding program or the Ascent Package is a great way to add extra challenges. Birthday parties are a hit with the Ascent Package or Escape Rooms, while corporate groups often choose our Corporate Teambuilding programs, escape rooms, and even axe throwing.
