Refreshing Mountain Retreat & Adventure Center is set to once again welcome guests to its highly anticipated Christmas Light Experience, returning for the 2025 holiday season with two distinct ways to enjoy the wonder: the Winter Walk Experience and the Zipline Light Adventures. The event runs on select nights from November 21, 2025 through January 3, 2026.
What is the Christmas Light Experience like at Refreshing Mountain?
Each year, more than 500,000 lights transform the wooded grounds of Refreshing Mountain into a radiant winter spectacle. This Lancaster County holiday experience has become a regional holiday tradition for families, groups, and guests seeking meaningful seasonal activities in a family-friendly environment.
The Christmas Light Walking Path Experience offers a peaceful, mile-long walking path lined with immersive light displays that tell a story of Christmas through time; past, present, and future. The walk includes access to Refreshing Mountain’s wildlife center, café service with hot cocoa, and outdoor campfire areas. The experience is open to guests of all ages and designed to be accessible for families, school outings, and community groups.
For those seeking a more adventurous way to view the lights, the Zipline Christmas Light Experiences provide the opportunity to fly through the illuminated treetops. This experience includes options ranging from one to three ziplines, along with access to 33 elevated obstacle elements. Axe throwing is available as an additional activity. Reservations are highly encouraged for zipline packages, and minimum age and weight restrictions apply.
How is Refreshing Mountain supporting local nonprofits this holiday season?
Keeping with tradition, Refreshing Mountain’s Christmas Light Experience will feature 8 different local non-profit organizations throughout the winter season. “As in years past, individuals can donate to our featured non-profits throughout the season.” said, Justin Harnish, Director of Operations. With more dates than last year guests will have more opportunity to give which will help as “New this year Refreshing Mountain will match up to $1,000 for each non-profit.” says, Harnish.
Are there discounts or group promotions available?
Yes! Guests attending the event can take advantage of seasonal promotions, including a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more. Overnight guests staying at Refreshing Mountain during the event period receive complimentary access to the Winter Walk Experience.

Due to limited parking and high attendance, advance reservations for the Christmas Light Experience are strongly encouraged.
