The Escape Rooms at Refreshing Mountain provide indoor entertainment for groups and are completely themed, designed, and built by the staff at Refreshing Mountain.
Our first Escape Room, âFunding the Dreamâ, features a live actor and a unique themed experience appealing to all audiences. Room #2, âCircle T Ranchâ, is thematically built around the history of Refreshing Mountain and provides one of our most challenging experiences. After guests expressed interest in an experience geared for larger groups, we added an outdoor escape experience, âRefreshing the Zooâ. Be on the look out, Room #3 is in the works!
Room #1: Funding The Dream
Room #1: Ever wonder how 1950âs real world inventions came about?
We invite you to enter the âPatent Officeâ at Refreshing Mountain to discover inventions and overcome the red tape involved in getting your patent approved and funded. It will be up to you to choose your invention, get it patented, and get funding as you interact with our patent office clerk.
Come experience the joys (and frustrations) involved in rolling out an invention before the office closes! Perfect for birthday parties, team building, family fun, a group of friends, or retreats.
Room #2: Circle T Ranch
Room #2: From chaos to organized, make Refreshing Mountain what it is today
Before Refreshing Mountain, a horse ranch called Circle T Ranch existed. Upon acquisition of the ranch, the manager of Refreshing Mountain discovered the property in shambles and through a series of events pieced the property back together. This thrilling (family friendly/not scary) escape room will take you on a journey you wonât want to miss. Can you help the manager bring order to the chaos, locate hidden clues, and discover all the veiled secrets? Parts of this escape room story line are based on actual events in Refreshing Mountainâs history and beginning days.
We turned up the heat on this one, giving you an hour but with more games to solve! Perfect for birthday parties, team building, family fun, a group of friends, or retreats.
Room #3: On A Mission
Room #3: Restore hope before time runs out!
In this room weâve taken a global perspective to give you an opportunity to engage in international humanitarian work right in your own backyard. Partner with Mitch Anarie and his family who are global field workers partnering with underserved communities throughout the world to meet their holistic needs. What is your part? Help the Anaries get supplies to these underserved communities. You have one hour to communicate with the Anaries to find solutions to these puzzles, answer riddles and think outside the box. Join us on mission, will you be able to help the Anaries before time runs out?
In addition, 5% of proceeds generated in this escape room will go to HOPE International, a Lancaster based non-profit investing in the dreams of families in the worldâs underserved communities.

Outdoor Experience: Refreshing the Zoo
Outdoor Escape: Great Scott! The animals have escaped!
Refreshing the Zoo- Do you have the necessary Koalifications to rescue our escaped animals and get them safely to their new habitats? We invite you to explore the zoo at Refreshing Mountain where you will go through various team obstacles to rescue our (imaginary) animals. Once your team has rescued them, you will be tasked with safely relocating them into their new habitats. Will your team be able to find, rescue, and get our animals into their new habitats before time runs out?
Great for larger groups we give you two hours for this one, and youâll need it! Perfect for birthday parties, team building, family fun, a group of friends, or retreats.

What Is An Escape Room?
Escape rooms are essentially themed rooms designed to challenge you with riddles, puzzles, and problems. Escape rooms have clues that will guide you to your next clue until you solve the puzzle of the room. Facilitators are either present in the room or are watching with remote access. The role of the facilitator is to assist you in the overall game of the room giving you additional clues to help you complete each step- should you want the help!
Is This A Shared Or Private Experience?
Typically, escape rooms can be shared or private experiences. At Refreshing Mountain, all escape rooms are private rentals. Meaning itâs just you and your group; no sharing and no problems (other than the riddles we give you!).
Are You Really Locked In The Escape Room?
No. We got rid of the padlocks on this one. Our rooms are fun and interactive, and should you need to step outside for a breather, no worries, just open the door.
What If Our Group Does Not Escape In The Alloted Time?
No worries! Remember from the previous question, our door is always open đ BUT if you do not finish the escape room, youâll just have to come back and try again!

How Long Does It Take To Complete An Escape Room?
This really depends on your group and the difficulty of the room. Some groups may finish in 45 min. others right up to the hour mark or not at all. Other factors include the ages in your group and the number of people who have had previous experience in escape rooms. All these factors contribute to the overall outcome time.

Are Your Escape Rooms Scary?
Boo! Thatâs the only scary youâll get here. No, our escape rooms are not scary. In line with our mission for our property, our escape rooms are family friendly. Meaning we designed our escape rooms in such a way that they will be fun for many ages and will truly spark your creativity and challenge you!
How Many People Can Do An Escape Room?
Group max of 10. Ten is the max occupancy for a few reasons including space, and most importantly quality and interaction amongst your group members. Weâve found more than 1o participants can have a negative experience.
For larger groups, we design your schedule in a way that will allow everyone to enjoy the escape room experience.
Do I Need Advance Reservations?
Yes. Our escape rooms can book up fast, be sure to book that escape room if you see availability and know you want to do it.
