Chaperone(s):Â This is not a drop off event. Parents will be scheduled to chaperone on a rotating basis.

Reptile Keeper Workshop
This course covers the ins and outs of care for 40+ species of reptiles and amphibians at our Wildlife Center, with opportunities to feed, handle, and interact with our animal collection. Time will also be spent outdoors learning about the native species of the area.
Material is designed specifically for kids ages 9-14*Â *Note: 1 non-paying adult (18+) must accompany for every 3 children.

Payment is due at time of registration.  Payments are non-refundable if cancelled less than  48 hours before the event. If someone on the waitlist takes your place money can then be refunded.
Lunch is NOT provided for this event. Â There are picnic tables and pavilion space for you to eat your bag lunch. The camp store will be opened for light food items, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs if you would like to purchase some items.
This is a “light rain or shine event”. Â We will cancel if there is a storm or other severe weather. Â If Refreshing Mountain cancels any part of your event for a safety-related reason, you will receive a FULL REFUND.
Yes, our activities are designed to include a broad range of physical and mental abilities. We donât want to exclude anyone. At the same time, there are aspects of our topography and certain safety requirements of some of our elements that can pose a challenge to guests with limited mobility and/or over 250 lbs. We do have options that can be explored for special accommodation and we welcome a conversation about any particular needs your guests may have. Please give us a call at 717-738-1490.
Yes, every participant must sign a Release Form. If the participant is under age 18, a parent/guardian MUST sign the form. Therefore, for school groups it is necessary to process the Release Forms prior to the event. The group organizer is responsible to collect the signed Release Forms and bring them along on the day of the event.
Signed Release Forms must be received in our office before we will begin your event.
