  • Chaperones: This is not a drop off event. Parents will be scheduled to chaperone on a rotating basis within their children’s group(s).
  • Cost: $26/child with a Family Cap of $85. Families of 4 or more, please call (717-738-1490) to get the Family Cap of $85. Payment is due at time of registration. See FAQ’s for details on cancellation.
  • Registration: Choose a day to come by registering using the “Register Now” button 👇🏽. Please only register students in the age group they will fall under when here (i.e. A 5 y/o should not be registered for age group 6-7 if they will not be 6 at the time of the home school day.) Space is limited to 20 students per age group. Wait list is available.

Provisions at Refreshing Mountain

The 319Cafe at Refreshing Mountain has a great menu for all ages. From hot drinks to cold drinks, pizza to paninis, and slushies to milkshakes, you’re bound to leave fully satisfied.

The Cafe will plan to be open April 27, May 6 and May 13.

Homeschool Day FAQ’s

Please re-read the question out loud. 😉

Unfortunately, they’ll have to wait for next year! We have age limits set for safety reasons and educational purposes. However, if you are registering other children, you may bring the 5 and under children with you. We have an awesome playground and they’ll love watching their siblings, whetting their appetite for next year!

Payment is due at time of registration. Payments are non-refundable if cancelled less than 48 hours before the event. If someone on the waitlist takes your place money can then be refunded.

Yes. If registration is full you will be contacted and put on the wait list. If it does not work out for you to attend, you will receive a full refund.

Yes. Parents/Guardians must remain on the Refreshing Mountain grounds throughout the day. A chaperone schedule will be given upon arrival.

Lunch is NOT provided for this event. There are picnic tables and pavilion space for you to eat your bag lunch. The cafe may be opened for light food items, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs if you would like to purchase some items.

Yes, there is no cost for parking and we have ample space for buses as well as passenger vehicles.

This is a “light rain or shine event”. We will cancel if there is a storm or other severe weather. If Refreshing Mountain cancels any part of your event for a safety-related reason, you will receive a FULL REFUND.

Yes, our activities are designed to include a broad range of physical and mental abilities. We don’t want to exclude anyone. At the same time, there are aspects of our topography and certain safety requirements of some of our elements that can pose a challenge to guests with limited mobility and/or over 250 lbs. We do have options that can be explored for special accommodation and we welcome a conversation about any particular needs your guests may have. Please give us a call at 717-738-1490.

Yes, every participant must sign a Release Form.  If the participant is under age 18, a parent/guardian MUST sign the form.  A Release Form will be sent with your confirmation email and you should bring them along on the day of the event.

Signed Release Forms must be received before you may participate.
