Join us for Fall Fest Days at Refreshing Mountain! Celebrate the vibrant autumn season with a variety of exciting activities every weekend. Refreshing Mountain offers families and groups a thrilling outdoor space to gather, adventure, and enjoy fall activities together.

2 Ziplines + Cornhole Toss*
You may have ziplined before. You may have played cornhole before. BUT have you played cornhole while zipping through the trees?
Come experience our Flying V zipline tour and toss 4 bags from 20-35 feet in the air- 2 while zipping and 2 from stationary platforms. This is bound to be the most epic game of cornhole you’ll ever play!

The Challenge Adventure Zipline is our 5 zipline which ends over our beautiful pond surrounded by fall foliage. You will have the opportunity to drop 4 little rubber duckies at a target in our pond – it may even quack you up while you do it!

Old Fashioned Apple Butter Making
Ever wonder how apple butter is made? Or maybe you’re wondering, what is apple butter? Well, come find out on October 26! We will have a crew making, canning, and allowing you to taste test that day. Stop by Pavilion A (across from our office) to ask questions, give your hand at stirring the apple butter, and taste the delicious homemade product! Tenative schedule is:
9:00AM – Start making Apple Butter
3:30PM – Apple Butter is canned
4:00PM – Apple Butter tasting
4:30PM – Buy a jar to take home!

Christmas Zipline Adventures
Celebrate the holiday season with our “Let There Be Light” Christmas Zipline Adventure! Glide through frosty treetops, surrounded by festive decorations and twinkling lights. This unique experience blends the thrill of ziplining with Christmas magic, creating unforgettable holiday memories.

Do I Need To Make A Reservation?
Reservations are highly recommended whether you call ahead or book online. If you stop in, you might have to wait an hour or more for the activity you want. We recommend you call ahead or book online to ensure availability even for day-of bookings.
What Activities Are Available For Kids Under Age 5?
We designed our Fall Fest days with your family in mind. With the older kids doing ziplines or other activities, we made sure to include some fun activities younger kids could enjoy as well. Including the following:
- Fall themed Family Scavenger Hunt
- Pumpkin Ring Toss
- Cornhole
- Hiking Trails to view the great fall foliage
- Large Playground
- Coloring Contest winners are chosen each weekend for 2 tickets to our Christmas Lights!
- Farm Animal Area
- And our Wildlife Center!
Is There A Snack Shop With Refreshments?
Yes! Our 319Cafe will have fall goodies. See hours and menu here.
What Are The Age, Weight, And Height Restrictions For The Activities?
- All activities have a maximum weight of 280 pounds.
- For most of the “high adventure” activities, individual riders must be at least 5 years old and weigh a minimum of 60 pounds to zip line.
- For the Aerial Excursion Course and Rappelling, participants must be 8 years old.
- An adult MUST accompany children under 13 for the Challenge and Aerial Excursion. For other activities, an adult need only be present. Please see the AGE RATIO GRID for specifics

What Should I Know About The Day Of My Activity?
- All participants MUST be wearing closed-toed shoes, like a sneaker.
- If you are wearing hoops or dangling earrings, or a necklace, you will be asked to remove them while doing the activity.
- There is a safe place you can keep your belongings.
- Hair that is below the shoulder should be pulled pack.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your first scheduled activity. Come to the office, and we will direct you from there.

What Free Activities Are Available During Fall Fest?
Our 100 acre property is beautiful this time of year so there is plenty to enjoy. Plus we added a bunch of fall themed activities to enjoy while on site.
- Leaf Peeping along our Hiking Trail is a great start!
- Playground with an extensive area for kids young and old to enjoy.
- Cornhole boards throughout to practice before you head to the ziplines!
- Pumpkin Ring Toss a fair style game great for all ages!
- Farm Animal Area with alpaca, horses, chickens and much more.
- Fall Family Scavenger hunt created by our staff to enjoy together.
- Coloring Contest winners are chosen each weekend for 2 tickets to our Christmas Lights!
- We created picture spots with pumpkins, cornstalks, and straw bales for a great spot for sitting and taking pictures!

We are very intentional about promoting and preserving a family-friendly environment that is welcoming to all guests. Our goals for hospitality and many of our policies reflect the Judeo-Christian founding of the retreat center.
