New for 2012

We completed the construction of three of 13 cabins! Each cabin has a kitchen, living area, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Furnishings and equipment include rustic furniture, microwave, refrigerator, a stovetop, dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, kitchen towels and glassware. Bath towels and bedroom linens, including mattress covers, pillows, blankets, sheets and pillow cases, also are included. They turned out amazing! There is a two-night minimum stay. This has been ideal for small groups of less than 20, families and personal retreats, and Leadership and Elder's retreats.

Along with the cabins, we added the Activities Pavilion, which was a necessary and convenient blessing for our Activities Department, giving them a central location to run their programs. The Activities Pavilion is right across the path from Cabin A and oversees the High Ropes Course area.
New for 2011
It's that time of year again when RMC looks to make updates to our facilities. For the next few months, we will be working on the following projects.Dining Hall Renovations

- Better accessibility for wheelchairs and persons with limited mobility.
- Convert Meeting Room A into permanent seating for the Dining Hall (remove the interior wall).
- The remodeled interior will seat approx 350-400 people and include a number of amenity updates and improvements (i.e. more fireplaces, booths, sound system, acoustical ceiling, etc).
- Add a new foyer on the east side (parking lot and Lodge side) and also new bathroom areas for the Dining Hall.
- Rebuild the outside deck.
- Place a retaining wall in the front of the building to allow for wider walking paths in this area.
- An improved trash/dish room. Though not part of the current project, this project will set the stage for a transition from disposable products to reusable products in the coming years.

Paving on Camp Road
This project has been contemplated for a few years, so it is exciting to see it finally happen. This is to complement our recent improvements to the Camp Entrance (i.e. the stone wall entrance and lighting). Additionally, there will be some paving of the areas around Gym #2, and several walking paths. This project occurred on November 1 and 2, 2010.

Solar Energy Production
As part of our Godly Stewarship Projects, we are "farming the sun". As of Sept 20, 2010, RMC completed construction of a 62.72kW solar energy system. There are 3 arrays of solar panels. The most obvious one is between Gym #2 and the soccer field (from the back, it looks like bleachers). The other two arrays are on rooftops. This project will provide approx 30% of our annual electricity needs. It was funded, in part, by a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority. We've Given Our Camp a Facelift

Bunks 1-4 have had new porches put on with sitting areas that will be great for break out groups and small discussions.

Skate Park is Out...but Sand Volleyball is In!
We've heard it from you!! We thought the skate park would be a useful activity for groups, and many group leaders liked the idea but said that it didn't fit into their events. Therefore, the Skate Park has been liquidated and RMC has installed two sand volleyball courts to take it's place for 2007!Zip Line at Night
